New Trick!

little o has made a new discovery!
Since it was  hurting her knees when she crawled over the sliding door railway, she decided that she can just do a walking downward dog move over it instead.

Lazy Beach day

Today was pretty hot here in Los Angeles, so I took little o to the beach. She has been teething lately and has been pretty fussy, so I thought this might help to cheer her up....

Santa Barbara

We took an overnight trip to Santa Barbara, since Nat had off work this week. We so needed a night away...We were excited to get away and see some sights with little o. We've only gone on vacation with her a few times and we thought it would be more fun, now that she is more aware of her surroundings-and especially now that she can join us in the pool!

little o's new sandals-She stopped wriggling her toes long
enough for me to get one on her foot for a photo op!

I love pelicans. We got so close to this one.
He was giving us the evil eye-or the hungry eye..

When I was pregnant with little o, I remember thinking often, how fun it would be to bring her to the beach. Even though I knew I'd need the necessities like diapers and wipes, I still thought it was extremely important that before she arrived, we had to have bathing suits and sun hats! Since our lives became so busy from day to day, we just havent found the time to plop her on the sand until now. She LOVED it!! So much space, such different tastes, textures, oh I wanted to build her a sand castle right then and there. Seeing how much she enjoyed this, I will surely be taking more trips to our beach this summer.

After little o went to sleep, Nat and I enjoyed some champagne and local seafood outside our hotel room...with baby monitor on hand, enjoying the beautiful ocean view.
