I called him Sadie

I dont know what this was, but mamma brought me to the park (a park that smelled like tar), and I just kept calling this thing Sadie, Sadie! I may even love him more than my bestie at school, Ella, Ella!

u look like me

I found this shot of me (top one up above) in one of our old photo albums. I must be right around little o's age. I love that we have the same straight bang/wavy on the bottom hairdo going on. And I bet that my mom had to stop herself from cutting my hair, just as I have to do with little o's. It tends to get in her eyes a bit, but it is just to precious to trim too much-not to mention so beautifully wild and crazy!

Butterfly Sanctuary

On New Years Day, we decided to head up to The Coronado Butterfly Preserve up in Santa Barbara. It was amazing! An open park, with tons of butterflies flying around. Above, you can see them all bunched up on the eucalyptus tree leaves. We heard that when the sun hits them, they burst out and fly off. We waited, but they sat very still. Little o seem to really enjoy the views, especially since there were also some birds there, which she has been loving lately!

We even brought Sadie along. Everyone got a real kick out of her and she met a lot of other doggie friends!

A lil bit of nature nearby

There is a park nearby our house, which I love because it is so peaceful. Sure there are the days where little o really needs to let off some steam with other kids within a big playground with slides and swings and such. But more often lately, I find it refreshing to just let her run in the grass and enjoy listening to the birds and collecting the leaves (eating them-err not so much...) Today we did some serious bird watching!

We took little o to the huntington library gardens the other day. Here she is sitting in the kids garden at a kid size table. She really enjoyed the people watching more than anything else...

Holiday Treats

I made lots of special treats for little o's teachers to thank them for all their hard work they do each day while they take care of her! Peppermint Bark, Chocolate chip cookies, and Almond Balls.

December visits

We had visits from Nana and Grandma and Poppa this month!
We thought it would be fun to go to the zoo when Grandma was here. You didnt Love it-but you did like brushing the nice goats hair.

You definately did not appreciate the carousel. (I had a feeling the 3.5 minute long ride would be way too long) You got scared after 30 seconds and I held you the rest of the ride...I think grandma had fun though....
You enjoyed the dinner at Ocean Ave Seafood!

Next, was Nana Kathy's visit. We took a drive over to point Dume. It was such a beautiful sunny, winter day. We saw pelicans fly by and you wanted to jump into the cold ocean! But Nana saved you and got her feet wet instead!

We also took you to the park-it was so sweet watching you and your Nana holding hands!

Poppa was the next one to visit. It was his birthday! We all went to Uncle Pete's house to celebrate. You loved collecting all of the forks on the plate.

Play Time

I took off yesterday, since little o's school was closed for Veteran's day. I was so nice to be out and about with her the whole day, especially because she was in great spirits the whole time!

We started out at the park at watched the ducks and played in the playground...then some friends at an indoor play pad..

nap time break, then off to my friend, Lindsey's for a playdate!

Today, we met some other friends down at Palisades park.

It was sort of rainy & overcast outside, but it didn't stop the babes from chasing eachother around, laughing and trading leaves and tree bark:)
