When we went to the mall the other day, I put you on the little motorized plane. You didn't like it much-although you did like to feel the "coin goes here" slot. It still made for a cute pic!

Swim Swim!

You are having so much fun in your swim class these days! You are a real trooper when I dunk you under and now you know after we sing "Humpty Dumpty...." that is when its time to go under-so you close your eyes in preparation....oh and everyone loves your new bathing suit:)

Aquarium visit

little o and I joined some friends at the Long Beach Aquarium the other day. I think she enjoyed the people watching more than the animals!

In the garden

little o joined us this evening in the garden. She was most impressed with the radishes growing. We have more than we know what to do with. Luckily, we have some eager neighbors to enjoy the harvest with.  She also enjoyed picking yellow beans with Daddy. She can't enjoy a lot of the raw veggies yet, since it is too hard for her to eat, but she has fancied some of the beets that we have roasted for her. I imagine that little o will have an exquisite palette one day, although I am sure she will have her fill of mac and cheese and chicken fingers like any other kid-who could resist?

And for dinner, Nat made this....

Pizza!! The one in front has blue cheese, parmesan, zucchini blossoms (from the garden), shitaki mushrooms and carmelized onions. The back pizza has shitakis, mozzarella and sausage. I couldn't choose a favorite, because they were both so yummy!

Each month, since you've arrived, I have taken your photo on the same chair, watching in amazement while you grow by leaps and bounds - each month more beautiful than the last. You have fun modeling for it and I have many out-takes!

My Birthday Girl!

Oh my dearest little o, on May 27th, you turned one. I am finally getting around to making a quick post after a whirlwind vacation in New York, then returning to Los Angeles, to celebrate a birthday party for you! This year has been filled with so much joy. You make my mornings so much brighter when I see your smiling face ready to start the day (even if it is 5 am)-thanks for being such an amazing little bum bum!
