First day of School!
So you ate a bit and then when I said goodbye, you cried, cried, cried. I left pretty quick, not to drag out the goodbye and was on my way. I left feeling a bit empty. I had a whole list of things I was going to do, yet it felt so strange to do them without you by my side!
I worked out, went to the farmer's market and got a bit of work done. I called to check in on you a couple hours later and they said you were doing great and you were having a snack with your friends.
I was hoping to pick you up round 12:30, so we could head over to your friend Parker's pool, but when I checked in around that time, you were going down for a nap. 2 hours later I picked you up. You had a nice long nap!
Miss Shanti said you kept falling asleep in the morning while playing and everytime she moved you, you woke up and went back to playing. (keeping up with the older kids ehh?) Finally when you went to the indoor playground to play, she noticed that you were standing by the fence that separates the big and little kids. So when she looked closer, she noticed that you had fallen asleep standing up and you were leaning on the fence! O my, little o, if only they took a photo...
She also reported that everyone was mighty impressed by your flexibility and how you are able to sleep for so long in the strangest poses. In fact, each time they fixed your body, you would simply go back to the way you were laying. When they tried to feed you, you wanted to feed yourself. You are such an independent lady, my dear!
When I picked you up, you were having yet another snack with your buddies. I snuck in to see what you were up to and it was so cute watching you eat and smiling at the teachers. You were so happy to see me and once we pulled up in our driveway, I said "Olivia we're home!", and a little sigh of relief came from the back seat. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and I am sure with a few bumps in the road, it will end up being a great experience for the both of us!
